FOUR-DAY SPECIAL TOUR ITINERARY:

DAY ONE : 

Day one (): (Kompong Kleang, visit our free English class, Beng Mealea and and Peng Komnou at svay Ler or Sunset at Pre Rup temple) :

• Start at 8 am, you will be taken to see lives of people in stilted and floating villages of

Kompong Kleang, You canboard a boat and cruise along the lake to see houses built on stilts. The Kampong Kleng is about 65kms from Siem Reap town. This place is highly recommended. The boat driver will take you to tour the lake about 1 and 1/2 hours and also floating village about 12,000 people living there. Visitors to Kompong Khleang during the dry season are universally awestruck by the forest of stilted houses rising up to 10 meters in the air. Kampong Khleang is a permanent community within the floodplain of the Lake, with an economy based in fishing and surrounded by flooded forest. But Kampong Khleang is significantly larger with near 10 times the population of Kampong Phluk, making it the largest community on the Lake.

Then move on to visit one of the best Indiana Jones temple in Cambodia, Beng Melea temple. This was where they made "two brothers". Then move to Svay Ler to visit Peung Komnou (painted reliefs or caves). There you will have a motorbike tour at your own expense. It’s a great experience to see this with no tourists around.

• Pre Rup (Khmer: ប្រាសាទប្រែរូប) is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built as the state temple of Khmer kingRajendravarman  and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple 

DAY TWO :  At 6:50 am, Ta Promh, Ta Nei, Angkor Wat. After lunch break, continue to South gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, terrace of elephant and leper king. 

 For visiting each temple, the tour guide will decide to see which temple first and it depends on the time of visit. So you don't need to follow the order of the temples in order to avoid the crowd.

At 6: 50 am you'll be picked up from the hotel. This is to avoid the crowd.

• Jungle-clap Ta Prohm, The movie called Tomb raider. You’ll see how the tentacle-like tree roots are slowly strangling the surviving stones. It’s an evocative sight. Admire the temple in the early morning light and with fewer people around than later in the day.

• Ta Nei  ( Hidden temple in the forest). 

• Angkor Wat ( From the east entrance). To do this, you can avoid the large crowd from the west. You will enjoy your time for a while before you join them in the temple. It's avoidable as you will go to the third level ( only one stair there). 

• Lunch break ( The tour guide will recommend the restaurant for you)

• Bayon: Our journey continues with a tour of the South Gate of Angkor Thom, 54 Asuras and Devas holding a Naga to form a beautiful rail of the bridge of the 12 century city. Then move to the center of this city where we see the smiling faces of the Bayon temple, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King.

Day three: (Landmine museum and Kulen mountain: 1000 lings, Reclining Buddha & big waterfalls and Banteay Srei ). 

• After breakfast, visit Landmine museum: Tourists began hearing stories about a young Khmer man, Aki Ra, who cleared landmines with a stick and had a house full of defused ordnance. Ra began charging a dollar to see his collection, using the money to help further his activities. Thus began the Cambodia Landmine Museum.

In 2007 the Cambodian government ordered Aki Ra’s museum closed. He was allowed to move it to a new location 40 kilometers from Siem Reap, near Banteay Srey Temple, inside the Angkor National Park. A Canadian NGO, the Cambodia Landmine Museum Relief Fund, founded by documentary film producer Richard Fitoussi, raised the money to buy the land and build the Museum. Most of the funding was provided by Tom Shadyac, a movie director from California.

The new museum opened in May 2007 and currently houses a 4 gallery museum as well as being the home to 27 children. The Cambodia Landmine Museum exists for 3 reasons:

1. To tell Aki Ra’s story
2. To tell the world about the horrors of landmines and explain that war is only half the problem. The aftermath of war continues long after the shooting stops.
3. To care for the children who live at the museum.

• Head up north by car to the sacred mountain for Cambodians called the Kulen Mountain for the 1000s Linga carving under the water stream. This was the birthplace of the Khmer empire which lasted almost 400 hundreds. , Grand Reclining Budha and the Big Water fall. Enjoy taking a bath in the holy water.
• On the way back, visit Banteay Srei ( lady temple).

DAY FOUR:  ( Roulous market, Chausrey Vibol temple, roulous group temple, Wat Thmei and artisan D’Angkor school): 

• Roulous Market.

After breakfast, you will be taken to visit Rolous Market which you can enjoy daily life Cambodian style. Some seasons, you can see snakes available there too. They are from Tonle Sap lake. They are so tasty, but a lot of bones..

• Chau Srei Vibol in Cambodia is a small charming temple on top of a hill which hardly sees any visitors - very few non-locals have heard of it, and it is set just far enough away from the main tourist routes. The central sanctuary has not been restored and is in a ruinous state but this is one of the main attractions of the site. Originally the temple would have consisted of at least two laterite walls divided by a moat, the central sanctuary, and a library to the East. Nowadays the outer wall is not visible and only the some parts and the gopuras of the inner wall remain - still enclosing a large area of shaded forest around the central temple. The sanctuary is on top of a hill and a modern Buddhist wat has been constructed nearby.

• Rolous group temple: Roluos is a Cambodian modern small town and an archeological site about 13 km east of Siem Reap along NH6. Once it was the seat ofHariharalaya,^[1]:98 first capital of Khmer Empire north of Tonlé Sap (as the first capital in the strict sense of the term could have beenIndrapura, identifiable with Banteay Prey Nokor. 

• Wat Thmei:  In Siem Reap, the memorial is a small building at Wat Thmey with glass windows housing the skulls and bones of some of those who perished. There are also a couple of boards with fading photos showing life in the dark days. It doesn’t take long to go round. 15 minutes at most on the way back from Angkor. It’s part of the past that many people would like to forget. But, like war memorials in Western Countries, it serves as a warning to future generations.

• Artisans Angkor is a Cambodian company which was originally created to help young rural people find work near their home village. As the offshoot of an educational project called Chantiers-Ecoles de Formation Professionnelle, aiming at providing professional skills to communities with limited educational opportunities, Artisans Angkor has maintained its commitment to education by developing its own training program.

•  Back to the hotel and free time to explore the city. You can ask the tour guide and driver to drop you at the hotel or somewhere if you like.

Note: Please wear proper clothes for temple visit If you wear shorts and t-shirt, please make sure they are long enough to cover your knees and shoulders. You have lunch near the temples with the advice of the tour guide for time and place. You can spend USDs here, but we don't accept old or torn notes.
